Bowl-A-Thon

On April 4th, we’ll be holding a Bowl-A-Thon @ Kingswood from 7-9pm. This is a fundraiser for the teens–they can spend their money on a variety of upcoming events, but we’re especially pushing Caton’s Island Youth Camp (August 10-15) Here’s the scoop!

•  Pick up pledge sheets at the church–teens are encouraged to raise as much money as they can, but we’re shooting for at least $100 raised per teen. 
• Businesses will be sponsoring each lane that we’ll be using — if your business is able to do this, please let Pastor Mark know (markbrewer@nb.aibn.com) 
• We’ll ‘own’ Kingswood that evening — we’ll be playing our own music, we’ll have some great prizes for the teens, and it’ll be a very fun night. We’d love to have you there!

High Five Communication

The youth ministry @ Olivet is launching a brand new way of informing our parents,  and we’re calling it High Five Communication.  HFC will be used to keep parents in the loop with all the details about what’s happening at youth–Shakedown nights, upcoming trips, rallies and more! HFC gets underway this week, so be sure to check back often for updates, new calendars, newsletters and more!  Check out the .PDF for more details. highfive.pdf 

Youth Permission Slip

• Posted here is a copy of the permission slip that will be used for a variety of events in our youth ministry. Simply open the file and print it off, and you’re good to go.
• Don’t have a printer? Just email Pastor Mark and he’ll print you a copy @ the church.

Hello parents of teens @ Olivet Wesleyan Church! This blog is just one segment of a ‘communication overhaul’ that will be happening between myself (Pastor Mark) and all of you. The ultimate goal is to keep all of your informed of everything that’s happening as quickly and effectively as we can. This site will be updated with upcoming events, and will provide you with an opportunity to leave some comments and questions that you may have.Also–this new site give us the opportunity to post updated calendars and other helpful documents that you’ll be able to look at, download, frame, burn or whatever else you desire.I hope you make use of this site regularly, and be sure to tell all the other parents out there!
