Reminder — Slip ‘n Slide

Just a reminder that for youth night this Thursday, August 28th, we are having the Slip ‘n Slide again! It’s our last attempt at wringing out one final night of summer. Fortunately, it’s calling for great weather, so get your teens to come on out, bring a towel,  and enjoy the water!

Fundy Trip Details

This is one of the highlights of the year — our annual trip to Fundy National Park! Here’s the scoop for everyone attending:

August 24-26th

We will meet in the parking lot of the church at 3pm on Sunday, August 24. We’ll pack up and head out! 

We will return at approximately 4pm in the church parking lot on Tuesday, August 26th. 

 

Meals Covered:  Sunday supper, all Monday meals, and Tuesday breakfast and lunch. 

What We Do: Camp, eat meals together, have campfires and worship times, play awesome games, walk the beaches, swim, go on a long hike, canoe + kayak, and hang-out. 

What To Bring: Sleeping bag + pillow, sneakers, warm clothes, extra clothes, towels, bathing suit, plastic bags (for wet stuff), a flashlight, and other helpful camping stuff as you see fit. 

If you can provide a tent or some other awesome camping gear, let us know! We can always use some extra lanterns and so on. 

PLEASE NOTE: Every teen needs a signed permission form to be able to attend this trip.

This can be found on the right-hand side of the blog under ‘Categories -Permission Slip.’ Print it off, sign it, and hand it in before the vehicles leave on Sunday. (If you can’t print one off, pick one up at the church, or just sign one before we leave on Sunday.)

Fundy Trip

Just a final shout-out to anyone who is interested in going on the camping trip that hasn’t signed up yet — let us know ASAP because there’s still room for you!

No Shakedown Tonight

Just a reminder that the Shakedown is cancelled for Thursday, August 14th due to Caton’s Island Youth Camp. (This can also be found on the summer youth calendar) 

Be sure to pray for the teens and leaders who are there this week — God is doing some great things!
