The Shakedown + Sundays

Did your kids tell you?! We had 100 teens here for the Shakedown last night!! It was awesome. We kicked off our new 3-week series called Viva La Vida and had a blast…and three of us shaved our heads! Great things are happening on Thursday nights, I hope you’re encouraging your teens to attend. 

Also — just a reminder about Shakedown Sundays. We’re encouraging the teens to attend the 9am service, and then go downstairs for the second service and get involved with a Growth Group. We offer two Groups right now — one for Grades 5-6 called ‘Grapple’ (led by Bill Moore) and one for grades 7-12 led by Emily Woodworth. We’d love to see your kids there!

Shakedown Kick-Off // Aftermath

It’s here! We’re kicking off the fall in a huge way at the Shakedown this Thursday night. Be sure to remind your kids to show up and expect something awesome. 

We’re back to our 6:30-8:30pm format, as well. 

Be praying for us – we’re expecting God to do some big things this year!

Also — there will be no Aftermath (after-school program) this Fall. We’re currently reevaluating this program and until we’re able to offer a well-staffed and quality-run event, we simply won’t offer it. We’ll keep you posted about future decisions.

Text Message Updates (or Txt Msg Updts)

Want to be kept up-to-date with what’s going on @ Crosspoint Youth? Want that to happen in a simple, easy and instant fashion?

You’re in luck! Crosspoint Youth is now offering Text Message updates! 

Simply let me know your cell # and your carrier (Rogers, etc) and I’ll take care of the rest. You’ll receive messages as necessary. For example, if youth has been cancelled, or a reminder that registration forms are due this week, etc. 

Your regular texting fees apply, so keep that in mind, but I will not be sending out constant updates; I don’t want to be responsible for driving up your phone bill!  

I think this is a valuable service — it’s important to me to make sure that you’re all kept up-to-date and well informed, and this is a great way to accomplish that. I hope you sign up! 

Night of Prayer and Worship

This Friday night (September 5th) @ 7pm, we are hosting a night of prayer and worship @ Crosspoint. This event is specifically geared towards our teens and the youth leaders, but parents are more than welcome to join us, as well. 

We are planning a powerful and creative night of prayer and worship in preparation for the upcoming year of youth ministry @ Crosspoint. We want to start our year off right, and ask God to move in big ways in these upcoming months.

Please encourage your teens to attend, and drop by if you wish!
